Doha Dream, great value a top class pedigree

March 14, 2019

There is a truth universally acknowledged by National Hunt breeders: the best pedigrees make the best stallions. The family of Bahamin alone has been the source of three Gr.1 National Hunt sires; Martaline, Beat Hollow and Coastal Path. The former of these is now retired, the second stands in Ireland, and the latter is proposed for a fee of €3,800 in the Centre-Est of France. For the breeders coming from abroad, and for the French breeders, in particular those based in Normandy, the easiest and most cost-effective way to access the Bahamin bloodline is to use the services of DOHA DREAM.

Standing at Haras du Hoguenet, DOHA DREAM is advertised at a fee of €2,500. The leading stayer of his generation, he was effective over distances from 2,400m to 3,000m. A very attractive type and stands at 16.2HH. As a 3-year-old, he won the Qatar Prix Chaudenay Gr.2, a race that had been won in the past by future stallions such as Turgeon. At the age of 4, DOHA DREAM ranked in second on two occasions in the Lucien Barrière Grand Prix de Deauville Gr.2 and the Prix de Reux Gr.3. The podium of the Grand Prix de Deauville has hosted multiple future National Hunt sires such as Jukebox Jury, Getaway, Doctor Dino, Champs Elysées, Dom Pasquini… and Martaline!
