Homebred Spirit of Brittany Remains Unbeaten
Al Shaqab homebred 2-year-old filly SPIRIT OF BRITTANY (Invincible Spirit & Ysandre) remains unbeaten, and displayed an eyecatching performance when winning over 7f at Deauville Clairefontaine, France. Trained by Jean-Claude Rouget and ridden by Gregory Benoist, SPIRIT OF BRITTANY swopped past the field in a number of strides for a hands and heels 2 lengths win.
BURIDAN and FAJJAJ also both won in Britain over the weekend in the Al Shaqab Racing silks. BURIDAN (Choisir & Lady McKell) had a comfortable win at Haydock in a handicap over 6f for Richard Hannon and Sylvester de Sousa. FAJJAJ (Dawn Approach & Pleasantry) travelled up to Ayr, and won the 10f Novice Stakes for trainer Hugo Palmer and Ben Curtis.
