Listed success for Olympic Glory
After strong results at the Arqana Yearling August sale, OLYMPIC GLORY keeps his progeny record going with another Stakes success today at Maisons-Laffitte.
Al Shaqab Racing's LUCKY LYCRA indeed proved progressive when taking the Prix Joubert LR at the Parisian track, despite her jockey FX Bertras being attacked by runner-up Palomba in the last two furlongs. LUCKY LYCRA had already become her sire's 7th individual blacktype when 3rd in Listed company at Vichy earlier in the summer. Homebred BLETILLA was also third in this race and gains blacktype on her third run only, and her first attempt in Listed company.

LUCKY LYCRA, trained by F Rohaut, and BLETILLA, trained by P Brandt, are respectively the third and fourth blacktype of the week for the Al Shaqab Racing stable, along with TORONADO's WASMYA winning the Stadt Baden-Baden Cup LR in Germany and 2-year-old WOODED a strong runner-up in the Prix La Rochette Gr.3 a few days ago.
As for OLYMPIC GLORY, his progeny have proved once again popular on the sales ring during the Osarus Yearling Sale staged over the past couple of days. Lot 28, a colt out of STIGO, consigned by HSV Agency, was sold privately to Janda Bloodstock for €28,000, while Lot 184, a filly out of KISSES OF LOVE consigned by Fairway Consignment, was sold to Paul Harley Bloodstock for €30,000. Lot 239, a filly out of NOVA LUZ consigned by Haras de l'Hotellerie, was purcahsed by Maxime Moczulski for €25,000.
