The Rowley Mile Racecourse at Newmarket saw the first Group 1 winner for RULER OF THE WORLD

Standing at Coolmore in a joint venture, the Gr1 Epsom Derby winner has delivered a Gr1 winner in his first crop on the track.

The Gr1 Fillies Mile went to Iridessa, a filly by RULER OF THE WORLD out of unrated Senta’s Dream and a granddaughter of Gr1 Breeders Cup Fillies and Mare winners Starina.

Tracking the leaders under jockey Wayne Lordan, Iridessa made a challenge a furlong out, taking the lead inside the final furlong to win a length and a half.

Winning trainer Joseph O’Brien said after the race “ She did it nicely, we always thought the world of her. “ Commenting on her three year old plans O’Brien said “ I guess she is probably more an Oaks filly given her pedigree”

RULER OF THE WORLD stands at Coolmore Stud, Ireland and in 2018 he stood for a fee of €8000.
