Top results for 1st crop sires at Arqana
The Northern Hemisphere Yearling Sales season started last week at Arqana, Deauville. The sales saw the yearling progeny of Haras De Bouquetot stallions OLYMPIC GLORY, TORONADO and RULER OF THE WORLD at auction for the first time.
Lot 8, a boy colt by TORONADO from the family of Gr.2 winner Frankyfourfingers sold for 155,000 Euros to Oceanic Bloodstock Inc. AL SHAQAB RACING were delighted to secure a filly by TORONADO out of Shingueti for 160,000 Euros.

The progeny of dual Gr.1 winning TORONADO were well received at auction, realising an average over the sale of 105,400 Euros. In 2017 TORONADO stood at the National Stud in England for a service fee of £12,500. In 2018 he relocates to France to stand at Haras de Bouquetot.
Multiple Gr.1 winner OLYMPIC GLORY continues to please buyers. Lot 122, a bay filly half sister to Gr.3 winner Home of the Brave realised 170,000 Euros when selling to Castlefarm Stud. Lot 117 a colt out of Barisa, and from the family of Gr.1 Grand Prix de Paris winner Behkabad sold for 72,000 Euros to Church Farm. in 2017 OLYMPIC GLORY stood for 15,000 Euros.
RULER OF THE WORLD who stands at Coolmore Stud, Ireland was represented in the sale for the first time with two yearlings. Lot 155, a colt out of Crystal Morning, and by the English Derby Gr.1 winner sold for 155,000 Euros. In 2017 he stood for 8,000 Euros, and the average price for his progeny at the Arqana Sale was 100,000 Euros.
HARAS DE BOUQUETOT stallions PLANTEUR and STYLE VENDOME were who have their first crops of two-year-olds were also represented at ARQANA. Lot 373, a colt out of My Girl Charlie and by PLANTEUR sold for 45,000 Euros to Haras du Saubouas, and a bay colt Lot 284 by STYLE VENDOME and out of Winter Fashion sold to Andrea Marcialis for 55,000 Euros.
