Two Classic hopes for Olympic Glory

March 11, 2019

Bouquetot resident OLYMPIC GLORY was the sire of the first two home in the Prix Rose de Mai, a Listed for 3yo fillies, at Saint-Cloud on Sunday. This race is often used as a springboard for the early Classics. PHOCÉENE, trained by Frédéric Rossi, took the honours from GRAND GLORY, in the care of Gianluca Bietolini. Both these fillies come from OLYMPIC GLORY's first crop of runners.
PHOCÉENE, bred by Haras du Mâ and Elise Drouet, was bought for €47,000 by Paul Nataf at the Arqana August Yearling Sale. GRAND GLORY was bought at the Arqana October Yearling Sale, and was bred by Haras de Bourgeauville.
This promising performance by these two fillies follows on from LUCKY LYCRA success on Thursday at Fontainebleau. This daughter of Pearl Shells runs in the Al Shaqab Racing colours and was bred by Haras de Saint-Pair.
OLYMPIC GLORY stands at €8,000. Great value for money!
