BRAMETOT is the resulting mating of the Linamix line, through his sire Rajsaman, with a half-sister to the great Monsun. BRAMETOT should be an easy horse to mate on paper as he is a complete outcross to Sadler’s Wells, Danzig.
Three bloodlines are emerging as the best crosses with Linamix: both American lines of Mr Prospector and Man O’War, but mostly the Nearco line via Nasrullah first, but also via Turn-to and Northern Dancer. Although both first bloodlines are already present in Rajsaman’s maternal family, one shouldn’t hesitate to try and inbreed on these most successful lines. The Nasrullah and Turn-to lines appear at least once in 72% of Linamix’s Gr.1 & Gr.2 winners and yet don’t appear anywhere in BRAMETOT’s pedigree: they should be an excellent cross for the grandson of Linamix.
Looking at Monsun’s best progeny, Northern Dancer appears at least once in 86% of his Gr.1 winners’ first three maternal generations, mainly via his descendants Nijinsky (19%), Sadler’s Wells & Nureyev (14%), and Danzig (10%). It would be logical to try inbreeding one this proeminent sire line. The Nasrullah and Turn-to lines are also omnipresent (81% of Monsun’s Gr.1 winners) and support our above-mentioned suggestion.
