OLYMPIC GLORY descends from Danehill (Danzig) through his sire, champion sprinter Choisir, and grandsire, Danehill Dancer. Choisir has proved a talented sire of sires with the fantastic rst two crops of his stallion son Starspangledbanner, who has produced Gr.1 and Royal Ascot winner The Wow Signal from a very limited first crop. This winner of the Gr.1 Prix Morny has a dam by High Chaparral (Sadler’s Wells), which leads to believe that mares from the Sadler’s Wells line, via his sons and grandsons, could successfully cross with OLYMPIC GLORY. Starspangledbanner has also produced Anthem Alexander, the winner of the Gr.2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot and Gr.1 placed twice, her dam being by Night Shift.
OLYMPIC GLORY shows a 5 X 4 inbreeding on Northern Dancer but is free of Mr Prospector blood and could also be mated with the French lines hailing from Grey Sovereign via Caro and Kenmare. Another asset of OLYMPIC GLORY is his damsire Alzao (by Lyphard), just like the Japanese Champion sire Deep Impact, who is by Sunday Silence.
