PEDIGREE NOTES
AL WUKAIR’s pedigree shows no inbreeding before the fifth generation, which makes him an easy horse to mate on paper.
His sire, Dream Ahead, only had three crops of racing age in 2017 but we can already define patterns for the most successful matings. On his dam side, AL WUKAIR holds the lines of Mr Prospector and Hail To Reason (Turn To line) via his damsire Machiavellian, but also of Caerleon (Nijinsky line). Each of these three lines has proved successful with Dream Ahead. The cross with the Northern Dancer line has also worked wonders and one should not hesitate to consider inbreeding to this sire line.
Bloodlines that are not closely present in AL WUKAIR’s pedigree but that appear in the pedigrees of five or more of the best performers by Dream Ahead or his sire Diktat include:
• The Danehill line, and even the Danzig line in general although Green Desert is already the second damsire of Dream Ahead.
• The Nasrullah line and most successfully via Bold Ruler, Blushing Groom, Kendor or Highest Honor.
• The Hyperion line, although already present in Dream Ahead’s pedigree via his damsire Cadeaux Genereux.
