MEHMAS ended the week with a double of Stakes victories. CLARENDON HOUSE opened the score by landing the Listed Midsummer Sprint Stakes at Cork, Ireland, on June 14 by nearly 3 lengths. Bred by D.R. Tucker, he recorded his 9th victory, becoming his sire's 28th Stakes winner. The following day, four-year-old TAX IMPLICATIONS made a big jump in the USA to win the G3 Eatontown Stakes on June 15 at Monmouth Park for breeder Aoife Kent of Mickley Stud.
WOODED celebrated his third first-crop victory, courtesy of SARDAIGNE. The two-year-old filly bred by Jean-Pierre-Joseph Dubois, scored wire-to-wire at Marseille, France, leaving a lasting impression on her debut run.
Our Haras de Bouquetot-based sire OLYMPIC GLORY congratulated three-year-old SALALAH on her third career win on June 14 at Dieppe, France for breeder J.S. Campos. He was also represented in Italy at Siracusa with GRIFFE DE CHAT, who once again defeated his rivals in a 1,700-meter handicap race on June 15.
ZELZAL recorded a double of winners at Saint-Cloud, France, on June 11, with Haras de Saint-Voir-bred J’ACCLAME making it six wins and Jean-Pierre-Joseph Dubois-bred AVERSA securing his third career success.
GALILEO GOLD was well represented in Ireland with GOLDEN TEMPLE, who posted a second consecutive success at Roscommon on June 10 for breeders Helen Smith and Sally Mullen. He was followed by BOOYEA, who made a winning seasonal comeback at Fairyhouse on June 14, offering a third career win to breeders J. and F. Reilly.
