Winning seasonal comebacks for our homebreds

The last fifteen days were rich in events for our homebreds and stallions, on the tracks with a collection of successes and at home, with our stallions star of the show at Haras de Bouquetot during the Route des Etalons.

Homebred AL DAAYEN broke his maiden tag on his three-year-old return to the tracks and second career-start when landing the 2,100 meters Prix du Parc Naturel de Brière on January, 27 at Pornichet, France under the ride of Théo Bachelot. Entrusted to Fabrice Chappet, our son of ZELZAL bred at Haras de Bouquetot out of the Montjeu mare NIGWAH became the second third-crop winner for his sire this week. The first to receive the honors was three-year-old WELCOME CHARLY who made a winning seasonal comeback on January, 23 at Cagnes-sur-Mer, France for breeders E. Lemaitre and J.V. Toux.

This month, our Haras de Bouquetot-based sire son of SEA THE STARS was also represented by FULL GAIN who honored his name with a fourth career-win at Pau, France on January, 16 for breeders Mathieu Daguzan-Garros and F. Bragato. ROI DE FLANDRE made a winning seasonal comeback for breeder A. Delaey to be crowned at Cagnes-sur-Mer, France on January, 17 for the third time of his career.

Our homebred AMERA joined the dance when marking her first start of the season with a victory in the 1,600 meters handicap race Prix de la Route Longue at Chantilly, France on January, 13. Entrusted to Francis-Henri Graffard, the daughter of dual Group-placed AL NAAMAH bred at Haras de Bouquetot crossed the finish line first with Stéphane Pasquier in the saddle.

Tally-Ho Stud’s resident MEHMAS was also well represented, starting with PHIL’S DREAM who opened his winning account at Dundalk, Ireland on January, 26 for breeder CN Farm. On the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, Tally-Ho Stud-bred THE BULLION BOMBER defeated his 9 rivals at Santa Anita, USA on January, 28 while in the UK, undefeated three-year-old ROMAN CROWN made the frame at Wolverhampton on January, 20 with a second consecutive career-win for breeders Lynn Lodge Stud and Pier House Stud.

Haras de Bouquetot-based GALILEO GOLD collected a new three-year-old winner courtesy of Tally-Ho Stud’s ALEAZEEN who broke his maiden tag on his second start only at Southwell, UK on January, 18.

Congratulations to all winning connections!
