2 for 2 for Armor as Nocturne Blou gets off the mark at Bordeaux

ARMOR maintained his perfect strike rate with his first two runners as NOCTURNE BLOU became his second individual winner from as many starters, landing the Prix du Pavé des Chartrons over 1,000 metres at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat on Tuesday.

Trained and owned by Bruno de Montzey, the daughter of ARMOR was ridden prominently by Mickaël Forest and showed tenacity in the finish to repel the late challenge of Iria Chope by a nose. It was a well-deserved success following three promising efforts earlier this spring.

ARMOR, who stands at Haras de Bouquetot, has made an immediate impact with his debut juveniles, and NOCTURNE BLOU follows the recent win of LADY'ARMOR at Lyon Parilly to give the stallion an early 100% winners-to-runners record.

Bred by Elevage de la Croix de Place and Fabrice Carle, NOCTURNE BLOU is out of Jimaliyah, a daughter of The Gurkha. Congratulations to her breeders and to all connections involved in this exciting result.
