ARMOR continues to set an exceptional standard with his second crop as BIG JET PLANE becomes his sixth individual two-year-old winner, further strengthening the remarkable statistics of the Haras de Bouquetot resident.
The colt opened his account on July 24 in the Prix de Grez-Neuville at Le Lion d'Angers over 1,400 metres. Trained by M. Blancpain and ridden by Jérôme Claudic, BIG JET PLANE built on a series of consistent efforts to deservedly get off the mark at his fourth start. Racing in the colours of Mane Stable SC, the son of Super Eria (Hold That Tiger) was bred by E. de Watrigant and A. de Watrigant. Congratulations to his breeders and all connections!
This latest success adds to an already outstanding juvenile campaign for ARMOR. Earlier this season, AIX LES BAINS, VALENTINA BELLA, ARMOR SUPREME, EPIFAGNA and HARMONY IN BLUE had all reached the winner's enclosure, while VALENTINA BELLA became a Listed winner in the Prix des Rêves d'Or LR at Vichy and ARMOR SUPREME added further Blacktype with a narrow second in the Marygate Fillies' Stakes LR at York.
Those performances continue to place ARMOR among Europe's standout young sires as he currently ranks second only to his own sire No Nay Never among Europe's leading sires of two-year-olds by percentage of Stakes winners to runners. Across his first two crops of racing age, ARMOR also boasts two Listed winners from just 34 individual runners in 2026 to date, maintaining an exceptional strike-rate of 9% Blacktype horses to runners.
