ARMOR opened his blacktype account on Tuesday evening at Vichy as his son CANALEJAS finished third in the Prix des Jouvenceaux & Jouvencelles LR over 1,400 metres. This performance confirms the promising start of ARMOR's stallion career as the Haras de Bouquetot resident now leads the European first crop sires rankings by percentage of blacktype horses to runners, and by winners to runners. Bred by KR. Al Mohannadi, CANALEJAS races for Juan Carlos Peinado Garcia and is trained by R.C. Montenegro. Ridden by Anthony Crastus, CANALEJAS ran on well in the closing stages to secure third place behind Clea Chope and Polly Shelby.
Out of the Cape Cross mare Money Royale, CANALEJAS was bred in France by KR. Al Mohannadi.
Congratulations to his connections!
