Canalejas, a new individual winner for Armor

Haras de Bouquetot-based ARMOR registered a new individual first crop winner as 2-year-old Canalejas opened his account at Toulouse on Sunday, landing the Prix de Montoulieu 1,400m on just his second career start.

The two-year-old colt by ARMOR, trained by Roberto-Carlos Montenegro, was given a patient ride by Mickaël Barzalona, settling behind the leaders before quickening nicely when asked in the final 300 metres to score with authority.

Bred by Khalid Rashid Al Mohannadi, he was carrying the silks of Juan Carlos Peinado Garcia. Well done to all connections!
