WOODSHAUNA, a three-year-old colt by WOODED, secured a decisive victory in the Prix Montenica (Listed) at Chantilly, marking the first black-type win for his sire, who stands at Haras de Bouquetot.
Carrying the same Al Shaqab Racing silks as his sire, WOODSHAUNA was trained by Francis-Henri Graffard and ridden to victory by Christophe Soumillon, finishing 1.5 lengths ahead of Kaadi over 1,300 metres on the all-weather track.
Bred by Haras de Magouet, WOODSHAUNA has shown consistent form, with two wins and two placings from four starts. His dam, Tosen Shauna, is by Alhebayeb. Congratulations to the breeders and to all the team surrounding WOODSHAUNA on this promising achievement.
