Mehmas pinned a new Stakes victory

BELIEVING ran away with the Listed Achilles Stakes on June 8 at Haydock, UK, achieving her first 3-length stakes success as a four-year-old, after finishing third in the G1 Sprint Cup Stakes on the same racecourse last season. Bred by M. Mullen and Cloneymore Farm, she added a new victory at the highest level to the impressive tally of her sire MEHMAS, who was also represented this week by a collection of juvenile winners.

Debutante PERFECT PART defeated her rivals a few hours later at Beverley Racecourse, UK, with the John Cullinan-bred filly losing her maiden tag in style. She was joined by TALES OF THE HEART, who scored first time out at Kempton, UK, on June 5 for breeder Tally-Ho Stud, while WHERE’S CLARE made her second start a lucky one with a nearly 3-length success on June 4 at Wolverhampton, UK, for Wensdyke Farm and Joseph Burke Bloodstock.

Our Haras de Bouquetot-based first-crop sire WOODED recorded a new success with his two-year-olds courtesy of NEW WAY BABY, who posted a second consecutive victory on June 5 at Argentan, France. Daughter of OLYMPIC GLORY’s mare NOUVELLE VOIE, she was bred at Haras de Bouquetot in partnership with SCEA des Prairies.

It was 3/3 celebrated for ZELZAL’s FRAISE DES BOIS, with the unbeaten two-year-old filly bred by Guillaume and Camille Vitse scoring at Tarbes, France, on June 5 for the third time in her career. Our Haras de Bouquetot-based sire was also represented in Norway with the success of SECRET ROYAL on the same day at Øvrevoll, while OMICRONE was back to winning ways on June 6 at ParisLongchamp, France, to land a third career win. The four-year-old filly was bred at Haras de Bouquetot in partnership with Ecurie de Castillon.

It was also a third career win celebrated for our Haras de Bouquetot-resident AL WUKAIR courtesy of WUKHANN, who defeated his rivals at Marseille-Borely on June 7 for breeders Fabrice Vermeulen and Mrs L. Louis.

GALILEO GOLD’s two-year-old SEAGULLS ELEVEN broke his maiden tag with authority on June 7 at Haydock, UK, with a winning second start for breeder Tally-Ho Stud. Our Haras de Bouquetot-based sire was also represented in Italy with GABRIELE STAR scoring a 2,100-meter handicap race on June 8 at Siracusa.

Congratulations to all the winning connections!
