New Group success for Toronado

It was a fourth individual Stakes performer celebrated for our Haras de Bouquetot-based ZELZAL with three-year-old PERLE ROUGE finishing third in the Listed La Coupe de Marseille on September, 15 over the 2,000 meters of Marseille-Borely for breeders family Collet.


Our juvenile homebreds were honored this week starting with SHALAA's NESTOR. Entrusted to Simone Brogi, he went from last to first to break his maiden over 6 furlongs at Bordeaux, France under the ride of Jean-Bernard Eyquem. Bred at Haras de Bouquetot, he is a son of our Arrowfield Stud-based stallion SHALAA out of the Dubawi mare AL THAKHIRA.

On the other side of the Atlantic ocean, our homebred juvenile ESSAOUIRA broke her maiden tag by 4 ¼ lengths at Delaware, USA on her second start only. Trained by Graham Motion at Herringswell Stakes, she was ridden to victory by A. Suarez.


Tally-Ho Stud-based MEHMAS celebrated a new Stakes performance courtesy of four-year-old TAKEKO who secured the third place of the Listed Lanwades Stud Stakes at Bro Park, Sweden on September, 18. Additional scorers of the week included four-year-old MEMO DE L’ALGUER who pined a new success to his tally on September, 17 at Chilivani, Italy and two-year-old FOR VICTORY who broke his maiden tag at Toulouse on September, 14 on his third start only for P. Giles.


Haras de Bouquetot-based OLYMPIC GLORY joined the Stakes dance with WALDERSEE who finished runner-up in the Listed Bro Park Spring Championship over the 1,200 meters of Bro Park, Sweden on September, 18. On the very same day, TRES DE TREBOL got the best of her opponents over the 2,800 meters of La Zarzuela, Spain and Stilvi Compania Financiera SA-bred ERNAN CORTES secured his second victory over the 1,400 meters of Strasbourg, France. OLYMPIC GLORY completed an international round of winners with AB Ascot’s LADYBUG honored for the third time at Lyon-Parilly, France on September, 13 and BEAR THE CROWN holding the winning title at Bowraville, Australia on September, 17. Four-year-olds QUELLE ELEGANZE and MILANOLIGHT were both fond in the winners’ enclosure on September, 15, at Ovreroll, Sweeden and Milano, Italy respectively.


Tally-Ho Stud-based GALILEO GOLD completed a duet of three-year-old winners on September, 17 with BOGOTA GOLD applauded over the 1,800 meters of Siracusa, Italy and Oliver Donlon-bred THE MENSTONE GEM winning on his seasonal comeback at Newmarket, GB. Two-year-old ROTHKO broke his maiden tag at first asking for breeder Tally-Ho Stud when crossing the finish line first at Punchestown, Ireland on September, 13.


TORONADO received all honors once again with WILD CHAP becoming his 10th individual Group winner worldwide when claiming the G3 Cameron Handicap over the 1,500 meters of Newcastle, Australia on September, 16. Down-under, three-year-old THE INTIMIDATOR intimidated his rivals to lose his maiden tag at Tanpo on September, 16 and three-year-old LACED UP HEELS defeated her 9 rivals at Northam on September, 15. BEAUTY GLORY claimed more success when crossing the finish line first in a 1,200 meters handicap race at Happy Valley, Hong-Kong and three-year-old ROSES ON ICE was the cherry of the cake of breeder Al Asayl when posting a success at Sablé-sur-Sarthe, France on September, 18.


New two-year-old scorer for our Haras de Bouquetot-based stallion ECTOT courtesy of BEIRUT, already placed at Listed level on last June, and now winner by more than 7 lenghts of a 1,600 meters maiden race at Milano, Italy on September, 18.
