Collection of Stakes performances for our stallions

The first yearlings by our Haras de Bouquetot-resident ROMANISED and WOODED sold at public auction each reached the six-figure mark on the second day of the ARQANA August Yearling Sale. Offered by The Channel Consignment, ROMANISED’s first yearling was a half-sister to Group winner BOSCACCIO and to rising star ALCANTOR, rated second highest two-year-old in France by Money Time. She was purchased by Haras de Meautry for €170,000.

Moments later, WOODED’s first yearling was a son of COVADONGA offered by Haras d’Ellon and secured for €140,000 by French-based trainers Carlos and Yann Lerner.

Our Haras de Bouquetot’s resident OLYMPIC GLORY recorded a new blacktype performance with his juveniles, Haras d’Etreham-bred two-year-old SHIFFRIN finishing third in the Listed Critérium du Fonds Européen de l’Elevage at Deauville, France on August, 17 on her first attempt at the highest level. Three-year-old NYALA was a few minutes later found in the winners’ enclosure at Montignac, France for breeder Haras de Montaigu. On the other side of the Channel sea, OLYMPIC GAZE defeated his rivals to win over the 1,900 meters of Canterbury and offer a first career-victory to Arrowfield Pastoral.

Our Haras de Bouquetot-based GALILEO GOLD also acclaimed a new Stakes performance courtesy of SOPRAN PECHINO who finished third in the 2,400 meters Listed Premio Merano - Trofeo Hotel Der Heinrichshof on August, 20 at Merano, Italy. On the very same day, three-year-old SHOSANNA crossed the finish line first at Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic and a few minutes later, PANNING FOR GOLD claimed his fourth-career gold medal at Southwell, UK for breeder Rossenarra Bloodstock Ltd.

Our Haras de Bouquetot-based ZELZAL records 11% blacktype horses and 50% winners to runners from his first three crops of racing age, with in 2023 only, half of his 32 three-year-olds declared in-training securing victories and 12% of them being blacktype. This week, our sire recorded a new juvenile winner with Elevage de Bourgeauville-bred NORMANJITO scoring at La Teste-de-Buch, France on August, 18 on his second attempt only. Three-year-old SHEHNA was also honored when crossing the finish line first in a 1,500 meters handicap race at Deauville, France on August, 17 for a second consecutive win offered to breeders Mrs M.L and M. Collet, and J. Collet.

Haras de Bouquetot’s ECTOT was also represented by three-year-old LOVE TRUE who claimed her second career-win at Clairefontaine, France on August, 18 for breeder Mrs E. Ribard.

Tally-Ho Stud’s resident MEHMAS congratulated a double of scorers overseas on August, 18, starting with two-year-old MIRRORING who opened her winning account for breeder Sandra Russel in a handicap race at Epsom, UK. Joe and June Staunton-bred MUKER followed the same successful path a moment later when claiming his fifth career-win at Thirsk, UK in a handicap race. The week ended-up on a high note with three-year-old BELIEVING coming home first in the Listed Highfield Farm Flying Fillies' Stakes at Pontefract, UK on August, 20, claiming her fourth career-victory on her seasonal comeback for breeders M. Mullen and Cloneymore Farm.

Congratulations to all winning connections!
