New juvenile winner for Romanised

ROMANISED’s first crop is off to a strong start, with RED SPARROW breaking his maiden yesterday in Milan’s Premio Ribot Cavallo Del Secolo, a handicap over 1,500 meters. Trained by Antonio Marcialis and partnered by jockey Mario Sanna, Red Sparrow is a 2-year-old out of Blue Sail (Kingmambo) and a half-brother to Group 1-placed Beautiful Heroine. Bred by Haras de Bourgeauville and acquired for €26,000 at Arqana’s October Yearling Sale by Manon Scandella-Lacaille, the colt races for owner Francesco Pircher.

With this success, RED SPARROW becomes the 11th individual winner from ROMANISED’s first crop, showcasing an impressive early strike rate of nearly 30% winners to runners among his initial 2-year-olds.
