Classic performance for our Haras de Bouquetot’s resident ZELZAL courtesy of ABHA who finished close runner-up in the Czech 2,000 Guineas, the Listed 102. Conseq Velka Jarni Cena on May, 14 at Praha. Out of the Falco mare NAYFAH and bred by KM Al Attiya, she was the only filly to run against the colts and was only defeated a neck from the winner.
ZELZAL was also represented in France by three-year-old SZAFRAN who collected a second career-victory at Tarbes on May, 13 for breeders SCEA des Prairies and Mrs S. Jeffroy.
Homebred FALEH broke his maiden tag at Lyon-Parilly, France when scoring his first career win by 2 lengths in the Prix Parenti with jockey Clément Lecoeuvre. Bred at Haras de Bouquetot and entrusted to Henri-François Devin just like his dam was, he is a son of Frankel out of Royal Ascot Group performer AL JOHRAH.
Haras de Bouquetot-based AL WUKAIR congratulated his three-year-olds with two more successes, starting with Haras des Sablonnets-bred FLEXIBILITY who secured the third win of her career on May, 11 at Angers, France. Haras de Bourgeauville’s MAGYAR DANCE joined the game to open her winning account by 2,5 lengths on her first start on May, 12 over the 1,600 meters of Saint-Cloud racecourse, France.
Haras de Bouquetot’s OLYMPIC GLORY and GALILEO GOLD recorded an international collection of victories, starting with three-year-old ALWAYS IN who broke her maiden tag on May, 11 at Wyong, Australia for OLYMPIC GLORY. On the other side of the Channel Sea, GALILEO GOLD’s MONTERIA and CLIPSHAM GOLD received both the honors, respectively winning at Windsor on May, 8 for Patrick J. Connolly-bred MONTERIA and at Kempton on May, 10 for a fourth career-win offered to Michael Buckley. In Czech Republic, four-year-old GALLANTICUS crossed once again the finish line first over the 1,200 meters of Praha on May, 14.
Tally-Ho Stud’s resident MEHMAS celebrated a double of winners in the UK on May, 11 with two-year-old HACKMAN breaking his maiden tag at Chester on his second start only for breeder Golden Vale Stud, and BILLIAN offering to Michael G. Daly a third career-victory at Chelmsford. Additional scorers overseas included two-year-old BA’HOA who broke her maiden tag on her first start only at Newcastle on May, 9 for The Cool Silk Parnership and three-year-old QUINTUS ARRIUS who was a second-time winner at Hamilton for Tally-Ho Stud.
