This Monday at Compiègne, ROMANESQUE, a 3-year-old daughter of Romanised and Lili of the Lake, broke her maiden in the Prix de Pondron, a 2,400-meter handicap for 3-year-olds run on soft ground.

Trained by Armony Tinchon and ride by Malone Favriaux, the filly carries the silks of F. Castelar & Associés and was bred by Erwan and Carine Robin. Benefiting from a good draw, she quickly settled in mid-pack before her jockey opted to ride a waiting race.

Making steady headway along the rail on the final turn, ROMANESQUE showed plenty of stamina and determination in the home straight. She bravely held off all challengers in the final 400 meters to secure a well-deserved first victory.

Congratulations to all her connections!
