The 3 May 2025 meeting at Le Mans proved fruitful for both our second crop stallions ROMANISED and WOODED, each siring a 3-year-old maiden winner on the card.
In the Prix de la Société des Courses de Château-du-Loir over 2,300 metres, ONE ISLAND, by ROMANISED out of Mira Star (by Sea The Stars), made a winning debut for trainer Ludovic Gadbin and jockey Clément Lecoeuvre. Drawn wide in stall 14, he overcame his position to score by a narrow margin for owners Mr Cédric Videment and L. Gadbin. Bred by Elevage Pierre Levesque and Ecurie Thomas Levesque, ONE ISLAND becomes the 22nd individual first crop winner for his Haras de Bouquetot-based sire.

Later on the card, LUFFY, a colt by WOODED out of Dardania (by Dalakhani), secured his first victory in the Prix du Canton de Sablé-sur-Sarthe over 1,600 metres. Trained by Joel Boisnard and ridden by Hugo Lebouc, LUFFY was previously in the money in all three starts, including twice as a juvenile. Owned by a partnership including Gérard Belloir, Lutèce Racing, Laurent Quichon, and his trainer, he was bred by T. de la Héronnière and Salabi Racing. LUFFY thus becomes the 21st individual winner for his second crop sire WOODED.
Congratulations to all respective connections involved with these promising three-year-olds.
