Short Final a new Group winner for Zelzal

ZELZAL added a fresh Group success to his growing stud résumé on Thursday as SHORT FINAL landed the 47th running of the Kronimus Badener Meile Gr.3 over the mile at Baden-Baden.

Trained by Satoshi Kobayashi and ridden by Ioritz Mendizabal, SHORT FINAL travelled comfortably on the soft ground and produced a strong run to defeat Namaron by three-quarters of a length.

Already a triple winner in France, SHORT FINAL had shown his ability at Stakes level earlier this spring when finishing a close third in the Listed Prix Altipan at Saint-Cloud. This marked his first Group win from just three starts in Stakes company.

Bred by Ecurie Ades Hazan and Karine Morice, SHORT FINAL is out of Massaye, a daughter of Monsun from a deep German family. Congratulations to his connections!
