Stakes performance for Galileo Gold

Patrick Grogan-bred GOLDANA offered a new Stakes performance to GALILEO GOLD when only defeated by a short head in the Listed Memorial Stakes on May, 8 at Gowran Park, Ireland, a month only after her success at Leopardstown in the Listed Heritage Stakes. Our Haras de Bouquetot resident ended the week with two successes in handicap races overseas, Tally-Ho Stud-bred RAY VONN making a victorious seasonal comeback on May, 19 at Nottingham, while Mr. Phelan-bred THE WIZZARD OF EYE was securing a third career-win at Ascot on May, 11 for his first start of the season.


MEHMAS recorded a double of winners on May, 11, with three-year-old BELLARCHI securing a fifth victory for Con Marnane at Ascot, UK while MEHMAN was claiming a fourth success at Naas, Ireland for MP Partnership and Phillistown House. Meanwhile, two-year-old TEEJ A was loosing his maiden tag on May, 9 at Chester, UK for breeder Tally-Ho Stud.


Two-year-olds were also in the spotlight with ZELZAL celebrating victories for DALENDA and FRAISE DES BOIS from his base at Haras de Bouquetot. The former opened her winning account on her third outing at Nantes, France on May, 6 for breeder SAS IEI, while FRAISE DES BOIS remained undefeated in two starts on May, 11 at Tarbes, France for the Vitse family. Azienda Agricola La Rovere-bred ZELZEFYR opened his winning account on May, 12 at Chateaubriant, France while NISHIKI KAMURO was triumphing in Germany over the 1,300 meters on Magdeburg on May, 9.


Our Haras de Bouquetot-based stallion AL WUKAIR also counted on a double of winners in France on May, 9 courtesy of AL BARQ who secured a second consecutive success at Agen for Joubrane Ouechec, while PASIPHAE was claiming a second career-win at Lyon-Parilly for Myriam Bollack-Badel, Ecurie Noël Forgeard and P. Lamy.


OLYMPIC GLORY celebrated successes on both sides of the Rhine, with BABY GLORY meeting the expectations of Normandie Pur Sang with a third victory on May, 8 at Strasbourg, France and KRONJUWEL crossing the finish line first on May, 11 in Germany at Hassloch.
