Stakes victory for Zelzal

Celebratory weekend for our Haras de Bouquetot-based ZELZAL highlighted by a new Stakes victory, boosting his 2023 record with 7 Stakes performers. Multiple winner PERLE ROUGE claimed her first Blacktype when defeating her rivals in the Listed Grand Prix de Marseille on November, 12 over the 2,000 meters of Marseille-Borely, France for the family Collet. On the very same day, two-year-old GOLDEN STATE broke his maiden tag at Angoulême, France for breeders SCEA des Prairies, Thomas and Benoît Jeffroy. ZELZAL made it a double on November, 11 with also two winners recorded in a day on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean: unbeaten juvenile ZELMAN secured his second career-win at Strasbourg, France for breeders A. and E. Prudent while dual Group winner DOLCE ZEL added a fourth success to her tally at Del Mar, USA for Scuderia Micolo. Fifth winner of the weekend was three-year-old SHORT FINAL who broke his maiden tag at Saint-Cloud, France in a 1,500 meters handicap race for breeders Ecurie Ades Hazan and Mrs K. Morice.


Our colors were celebrated with DUHAIL who made a winning seasonal return at Al Rayyan on November, 8. Seven-year-old son of Lope de Vega, he landed the Sealine Cup-Thoroughbred Conditions over the 7 furlongs of the Doha racetrack, under the ride of Faleh Bughenaim and the training of Jean de Mieulle. Our homebred HABEEBAH joined the danse when crossing the finish line first on November, 12 in the Class 1 Prix Henri Chapelle-Prix Mangoustine at Marseille Borely, France for a third career-win. Entrusted to Jean-Claude Rouget and ridden to success by Jean-Bernard Eyquem, she is a daughter of Invincible Spirit out of G2 Prix Malleret winner Al Wathna. She will be offered as lot 366 at the ARQANA Breeding Stock Sale on December.


Our Haras de Bouquetot-based OLYMPIC GLORY congratulated a double of international winners on November, 12, starting with SILVER SCHNOK who was a 6-times scorer at Marseille-Borely, France for breeders Ecurie Haras du Cadran and Mrs M. Stadelmann. On the other side of the planet, WINGED BEAUTY was breaking her maiden tag over the 1,100 meters of Armidale racecourse, Australia. Down-under still, SOLAR FLASH reached out first the 1,200 meters of Balnarring racecourse on November, 11 and ever-consistent LAURIE added a new victory to his tally on November, 7 at Kumbia. In France, PRAIRIE GLORY was honored at Le Croisé-Laroche on November, 6 with a third win offered this season to breeder Succursal HG. Stihl.


AL WUKAIR was represented by his four-year-olds this week with ANTE POST reaching the post first in a 1,800 meters handicap race at Le Croisé-Laroche, France on November, 6 for breeder D. Leseine. The following day, Haras de Bourgeauville-bred INVESTISSEUR was securing a second consecutive win and fourth-career success over the 1,200 meters of Fontainebleau racecourse, France.
