Stakes performance at Royal Ascot for our Haras de Bouquetot-based GALILEO GOLD on the final day of the prestigious meeting, courtesy of juvenile GOLDEN MIND who finished off strongly to grab the third place of the Listed Chesham Stakes. Bred by Tally-Ho Stud, he is now a Stakes performer on his third start only.
On the very same day, GALILEO GOLD also celebrated the victory of three-year-old DUTCH GOLD who broke his maiden tag by 8-lengths at Down Royal, UK for breeder Ms Vivienne Anne Bird. Tally-Ho-Stud bred three-year-old ANGEL FROM ABOVE was also part of the game when breaking her maiden tag on her second start only at Carlisle, UK on June, 19, followed-up by GALLANTICUS who defeated his 10 rivals at Praha, Czech Republic on June, 25 to successfully end the week.
Our ZELZAL’s AUSTRAL broke his maiden tag at Saint-Cloud, France under our colors on June, 23, heading a 1-2 for our Haras de Bouquetot-based stallion. Bred by Haras de Bourgeauville, our three-year-old justified favoritism scoring his first career-victory in the Prix Youth under the ride of Stéphane Pasquier. Entrusted to Fabrice Chappet and entered in the upcoming ARQANA 2023 Summer Sale (lot 475), he crossed the finish line first, with Ecurie Ades Hazan and Mrs K.Morice-bred SHORT FINAL back in second.
Three-year-old ABHA bred by Khalifa Al Attiyah joined the dance to offer a new Group victory to her sire in the local G3 Czech Derby on June, 25 over the 2,400 meters of Praha racecourse, Czech Republic against the males. She became yet another Group performer for ZELZAL this season from a three-year-old crop of only 30 horses registered in training.
Our three-year-old homebred ESSAOUIRA was back to the winners’ enclosure when scoring her second career win by 5 lengths over the mile on dirt at Delaware Park, USA. Entrusted to trainer Graham Motion and ridden by jockey J. Ruiz, she is out of the Malibu Moon Grade 1 winner EDEN’s MOON.
Tally-Ho Stud’s resident MEHMAS celebrated a new international Group performance with CIRCUIT STELLAR who finished runner-up in the G3 The Premier Cup over the 1,400 meters of Sha Tin, Hong-Kong, showing a strong turn of foot to be defeated by the smallest margin only. A few minutes later on the same racecourse, TAJ DRAGON received all the honors when getting the best of his 13 rivals to cross the finish line first. MEHMAS was also responsible of a double of international winners, starting in Italy with juvenile AMOREVOLE at Milano on June, 21 and three-year-old HALE END bred by Paul McEnery at Hamilton, UK a few minutes later.
Our Haras de Bouquetot-based AL WUKAIR congratulated two three-year-old winners with NOBLE REALITY showing his speed at Indiana Grand Racecourse, USA on June, 20 and ENCHANTRES securing a second career-win for breeders J.Kilpatrick, Ecurie Ades Hazan and Mrs G. Henochsberg at La Teste-de-Buch, France on June, 22. Four-year-old CURARO LIGHT ended the international collection of victories at Livorno, Italy when claiming a 1,950 meters handicap race on June, 25.
Haras de Bouquetot’s resident OLYMPIC GLORY was also part of the winning squad courtesy of three-year-old MAIMOUNA who secured the second victory of her career at La Roche-Posay, France on June, 25 for breeder Mathieu Daguzan-Garros. On the other side of the planet, five-year-old OLYMPIC CLASS made it all to win at Lismore, Australia on June, 20.
