Ticket hold for the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe

G1 Prix de l’Opéra winner on last October, PLACE DU CARROUSEL proved to be in good form on September, 10 when holding off her rivals to land the G2 Qatar Prix Foy at ParisLongchamp, France, winning at the same time her ticket for the G1 Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe next month. Co-owned and bred by Ballylinch Stud, our four-year-old is entrusted to André Fabre and was ridden to victory by Mickael Barzalona.


Tally-Ho Stud-resident MEHMAS celebrated a new performance at the highest level with BELIEVING showing an eye-catching turn-of-foot to finish third in a strong edition of the G1 Sprint Cup Stakes on September, 9 at Haydock, UK. The three-year-old filly was bred by M. Mullen and Cloneymore Farm and was followed-up by NELSON GAY who crossed the finish line first in a handicap race at Wolverhampton, UK on the very same day for breeder Gerard Mullins, his sixth career-success. MEHMAS also celebrated the success of juvenile BELLARCHI who easily secured a third consecutive win in a handicap race at Hamilton, UK on September, 5 for breeder Con Marnane.


AL WUKAIR was represented at Chantilly racecourse, France by AMI SOLEDAD who claimed his fourth career-win in a 1,900 meters handicap race on September, 9.


Our Haras de Bouquetot-based sires OLYMPIC GLORY and GALILEO GOLD recorded both a double of winners in a day. The first named was honored down-under on September, 9 with OLYMPIC GAZE coming home first at Rosehill, Australia and ROSETTES defeating her rivals at Morven, Australia. OLYMPIC GLORY was also represented overseas courtesy of MOUNT OLYMPUS who claimed a second consecutive win and fourth career-success at Goodwood, UK on September, 5 for breeder Mrs Renate Moser.


GALILEO GOLD found two of his representatives in the winners’ enclosure on September, 4 overseas, starting with juvenile FOOL’S GOLD who broke his maiden tag at Windsor, UK on his second start only for breeder Tally-Ho Stud. A few minutes later, JABBAR posted a second consecutive win and third career-success in a handicap race at Roscommon for Silk Fan Syndicate. Our Haras de Bouquetot’s representative was also acclaimed in Italy with SOPRAN PULCINELLA who secured a new win over the 1,800 meters of Chilivani racecourse.
