LIWOOD, a two-year-old colt by WOODED, broke his maiden in style yesterday at Clairefontaine, capturing the Prix Mosimann - Dancing On My Own (Prix des Tournesols) over 1,400 metres. Ridden by Tony Piccone and trained by M. Pitart, LIWOOD pulled clear to win by a length from Show Set, delivering a confident performance for owner and breeder Jean-Pierre-Joseph Dubois. Congratulations to his connections on this latest success!
Out of L’Invincible, by Invincible Spirit, LIWOOD adds to WOODED’s recent run of form that includes Gr.1 winner WOODSHAUNA as well as recent juvenile scorers SPECIAL WOOD, an impressive debut winner for the same connections as LIWOOD, and HOLLIE WOOD.
WOODED currently ranks as the #2 leading second-season sire and #3 leading sire of three-year-olds in France.
