ZELZAL added a sixth individual 2-year-old winner of the year as BANDIAGARA made a successful debut in the Prix de la Troublerie over 1400m at Chantilly on Monday. The two-year-old filly, trained by Mario Baratti and ridden by Cristian Demuro, travelled kindly before asserting in the straight to score on her second start. She is the second juvenile winner for ZELZAL in just three days, following KENZEL’s success on Saturday.
BANDIAGARA is out of Mintaka, a daughter of Zamindar, and was bred in Great Britain by Oceanic Bloodstock and Mme A. Gravereaux, bringing her sire's juvenile tally to 40% winners to runners this year.
Her victory capped a productive stretch for ZELZAL, who also recorded a double with older horses on Sunday courtesy of KELLY KEY at Lyon-Parilly and SECRET ROYAL at Bro Park.
Congratulations to all connections!
