ZELZAL continued his remarkable run of form with a perfect return on Tuesday, producing three winners from three runners across France.

The sequence began at Nantes, where VANINA RUNAWAY, a three-year-old filly out of Sea And Sky (Exceed And Excel) bred by E. Robin and B. Le Bot, got off the mark over 1,400 metres. Racing for a partnership headed by Antoine Morteo and trained by A. Baron, she delivered a deserved first success.

Attention then turned to Fontainebleau, where ZELZAL completed a notable double on the card. First, KALKARA, a three-year-old gelding out of Filly Of Malta (National Defense), made a winning breakthrough in the Prix de Samois-sur-Seine over 1,200 metres. Owned and bred by Healthy Wood Co. Ltd and trained by S. Kobayashi, he confirmed his consistency with a first victory.

Later in the afternoon, IRBIS, a seven-year-old gelding out of Iceni Girl (Iceman), added a second success in quick succession when taking the Prix Georges Sandor over 1,400 metres. Racing for Michel Nikitas and trained by L. Bernhardt, he was bred by Ecurie Haras de Beaufay.

Congratulations to all breeders and connections!
