€100,000 for a daughter of Lusail at Tattersalls
The first yearlings by LUSAIL are making a promising start in the sales ring. Following a filly who realised 50,000gns at the Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale in September, another daughter of the Haras de Bouquetot stallion has attracted attention at Tattersalls, selling for 80,000gns, the equivalent of nearly €100,000.

Consigned by Manister House Stud, the filly out of War Story (Sunday Break) was purchased by Form Bloodstock. She is a half-sister to Terredeguerre (Al Wukair), a five-time winner and Listed performer, and Belle de Nuit (Ectot), winner of four races.
This latest result adds to the encouraging reception LUSAIL's first crop has received in the European sales ring. To date, nine of his yearlings have found buyers, achieving an average price of nearly €30,000.
The only son of MEHMAS currently standing at stud in France, LUSAIL was himself a precocious and talented juvenile, winning both the July Stakes Gr.2 and Gimcrack Stakes Gr.2 at two before confirming his ability at Group 1 level at three.
A further five yearlings from his first crop are set to go under the hammer at the upcoming Arqana October Yearling Sale in Deauville, offering another opportunity to assess his progeny ahead of their eagerly awaited racecourse debuts in 2027.
