2027 Purebred Arabian stallion fees: three-time G1-PA winner Luwsail joins the roster
Al Shaqab Racing is pleased to announce the covering fees for its Purebred Arabian stallion roster for the 2027 breeding season, which will welcome a new addition in three-time Group 1 PA winner LUWSAIL. The homebred son of Al Mourtajez out of Al Dowha (Munjiz) will stand at Haras de Thouars alongside champion AL GHADEER, who will also relocate there for the upcoming season.
Having landed the Prix de Carthage G2-PA at four, LUWSAIL claimed his first G1-PA victory in the UAE President Cup – UK Arabian Derby at Doncaster in 2024, trained by François Rohaut and ridden by Ioritz Mendizabal.
Subsequently switched to Jean de Mieulle, LUWSAIL added two further G1-PA victories to his record in 2025. Partnered by Pierre-Charles Boudot, he landed the Qatar Gold Sword at Al Uqda, getting the better of Moshrif, before underlining his international credentials at ParisLongchamp, where he defeated Muraad in The President of the UAE Cup – Coupe d'Europe des Chevaux Arabes under Faleh Nasser Bughenaim.
A proven performer in France, Britain and Qatar, LUWSAIL also boasts four G1-PA placings: runner-up in the Qatar International Cup at Al Uqda, the Doha Cup – Prix Manganate at Deauville and the Qatar Cup – Prix Dragon at ParisLongchamp in 2025, as well as third in the Qatar Derby at Chantilly in 2024. He also finished runner-up in two G2-PA contests: the Qatar International Derby in 2024 and the French Arabian Breeders' Challenge Sprint in 2026.
With LUWSAIL and AL GHADEER, Al Shaqab Racing will stand two sons of leading sire Al Mourtajez at Haras de Thouars for the 2027 breeding season.
