Qatar Arabian World Cup: 1-2-3 for Al Mourtajez

Our stallion Al Mourtajez had dominated the last three editions of the Qatar Arabian World Cup (Gr.1-PA), on Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Gr.1) day, thanks to Al Ghadeer’s consecutive victories in our colours. Al Ghadeer made history by becoming the greatest Purebred Arabian of modern times and has continued to write his story at Haras de Bouquetot since the beginning of the year.

His sire Al Mourtajez extended his reign even further this year at ParisLongchamp, not only retaining his crown but also siring the 1-2-3 in the Purebred Arabian World Championship. Champion HM ALCHAHINE (Al Mourtajez) was imperious in recording a third consecutive Group 1-PA victory, sweeping past the field on the outside and enabling Elisabeth Bernard to become the first female trainer in history to win the race.

Our homebred HAJMAH (Al Mourtajez) kept the field at bay for a long way and finished second, ¾ of a length behind, in a thrilling finish. Trained by Thomas Fourcy and ridden by Pierre-Charles Boudot, our homebred had won the Gr.1-PA Qatar Arabian Trophy des Juments (for 4-year-old fillies) on this same weekend last year.

CHDIA (Al Mourtajez), bred at home, completed the podium in third place, a short head behind. A dual Group 1 winner in Doha (Qatar) earlier this year, she boasts an impressive record of 10 wins from 12 starts, including seven performances at Group level.

Congratulations to all their respective connections.
