In the 2,100m Purebred Arabian Derby Trial at Al Uqda, AFJAN and AL ZWAIR, both 4-year-old sons of TM FRED TEXAS, secured a 1-2 finish for Al Shaqab Racing and trainer Jean de Mieulle. Ridden by Faleh Bughanaim, AFJAN claimed victory as a half-brother to Group 1 runner-up MEZOWN and Group 1-placed AL JORI. AL ZWAIR, piloted by Olivier d’Andigné, followed closely to complete the exacta in this competitive trial.
