Al Dhaby Makes Breakthrough on Second Start at Dax

AL DHABY took a step forward from her debut to open her account in the Prix de la Chalosse (Maiden, 2100m, Good to Soft) at Dax, scoring gamely under Samy Le Quilleuc for trainer Jean-Claude Rouget.
Bred by Ecurie des Monceaux and Limerick Lane Pty Ltd, the daughter of Kingman out of the Shamardal mare Zargos travelled strongly from her inside draw and showed determination to fend off her rivals, securing victory by a narrow margin at the line.
Carrying the silks of Al Shaqab Racing, AL DHABY was making only her second career start, having finished third on debut at Tarbes last month. This promising success suggests further improvement to come as she continues her progression under the care of her Pau-based trainer.
