Aylin delivers Gr. 2 triumph for Al Shaqab Racing at Doncaster

AYLIN, a two-year-old filly by ST MARK’S BASILICA out of Angelic Light (by Dark Angel), produced a brilliant performance at Doncaster today landing the Betfred May Hill Stakes, a Group 2 contest for fillies over the mile.

Always in touch with the leaders on the far side, she was pushed along as the field came together three furlongs from home. Switched to the right entering the final furlong, she responded generously to David Egan’s urgings, staying on strongly and finding more near the line to assert in the closing strides.

Trained by K. R. Burke, AYLIN carried the colours of Al Shaqab in partnership with Amo Racing. She was bred by Yeomanstown Stud.
