It was a festive evening at Al Rayyan for our homebreds. SHAYEG was the first to carry our colours to victory in the 1,600-metre Purebred Arabian Maiden Plate, leading a 1–2 finish for our homebreds and stallions. Our four-year-old homebred son of Al Mamun Monlau opened his winning account on debut with a 5.5-length success under jockey Faleh Bughanaim, while our homebred daughter of Al Mourtajez, FIAFI, finished second, showing marked improvement from her previous start under Olivier d’Andigné.

Also four years old, SEJJEL secured his third consecutive victory shortly afterwards in the 1,600-metre Purebred Arabian Handicap. Our homebred son of Al Mourtajez left no room for his rivals, once again guided to success by Faleh Bughanaim, and now boasts three wins from just five career starts.

There was another 1–2 finish for our homebreds and stallions in the 1,600-metre Class 2 Purebred Arabian Open Race, with AL WAKRAH crossing the line first under Olivier d’Andigné, followed by LUWSAIL partnered by Faleh Bughanaim. Our homebred seven-year-old son of TM Fred Texas, AL WAKRAH, is a Group 1 winner and a consistent performer at the highest level — as is our homebred five-year-old son of Al Mourtajez, LUWSAIL.

All our winners are trained by Jean de Mieulle.
