Our homebred AL WAKRAH celebrated a second consecutive Group victory on the evening of September 8 at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat, France, in the 1,400-meter G2-PA French Arabian Breeders’ Challenge Sprint. Our 8-year-old daughter of TM FRED TEXAS is a half-sister to G1 winner Ghadah and G1 performer Subahiyah. Already a Group 1 winner and multiple Group performer across the globe herself, she is trained by Jean de Mieulle and was guided to the post by Olivier d’Andigné.
Finishing a close second, just a head behind in a thrilling finish, was the well-bred Haseef, a son of our Haras de Thouars-based stallion AL MOURTAJEZ. The four-year-old captured the G3-PA Prix Damas in May at Bordeaux on just his third career start, and is now a dual Group performer from only four outings.
