Mneefa breaks her maiden in style
MNEEFA broke her maiden tag at the second time of asking with a solid victory in the Prix Saint-Laurent, held on 12 September at Bordeaux, France. Aged three, our homebred had made her debut last August at La Teste-de-Buch, France, before showing clear improvement a month later under Iortiz Mendizabal. Always positioned towards the front of the field, our Jean de Mieulle-trained filly took a clear lead halfway down the straight to win by three lengths.
Our homebred MNEEFA hails from the family of Amira Al Chame, dam notably of G1-PA winner Al Nachmiya.
Over the weekend, our stallion Al Mourtajez also recorded a victory in Saudi Arabia at Janadriah with FARHAN who prevailed over 18 rivals. Bred by Mr Al-Najafi, he led throughout over the 2,000 metres.
