GAZI, a two-year-old colt by PERSIAN KING out of AL HAYYAH (LOPE DE VEGA), got off the mark on Tuesday at Fontainebleau, landing the Prix Maîtres et Sous-Maîtres de Manège du Régiment de Cavalerie, the opening race on the card.

Bred and under the silks of Al Shaqab Racing, the colt is trained by André Fabre and was ridden to success by Malone Favriaux.

Held up in the early stages, GAZI showed composure and a sharp turn of foot, finding a gap on the inside in the closing stages to snatch victory over 1,200 metres on good-to-soft ground.

Congratulations to all connections!
