Al Mourtajez recorded a 1–2 finish at Toulouse, France on April 19, with a duel between Moneer and Hajmah. The former, Moneer, secured the biggest victory of his career by winning the Prix de Carthage (Gr.2), taking his revenge over our homebred filly Hajmah, who had beaten him in the Qatar Derby des Pur-Sang de 4 ans (Gr.1) before going on to win the Qatar Arabian Trophy des Juments (Gr.1).
A Group 3 winner and twice placed at the highest level, the son of Al Mourtajez bred by Mr. Al-Najafi, Moneer delivered an excellent seasonal reappearance, taking the lead from the start and showing great courage to cross the line in front.
While Al Mourtajez dominated both days of the AKTEM Junior online Sale, our stallion also added a new winner to his record with Lella de La Gloire, who scored on her debut on April, 17 at Tarbes, France. A three-year-old, she races in the colours of her breeder, Amjad Taiss Aljumaily.
