Historic Gr.1 triumph for homebred Sahlan in the Prix du Moulin

Our homebred SAHLAN delivered a landmark success for Al Shaqab Racing when capturing the Qatar Prix du Moulin de Longchamp Gr.1 over 1,600 metres at ParisLongchamp, becoming our first homebred Group 1 winner.

Supplemented for the race, the colt produced a powerful performance under Mickaël Barzalona for trainer Francis-Henri Graffard, defeating a field packed with proven top-level performers.

Raised at Haras de Bouquetot, SAHLAN is by Wootton Bassett out of Wasmya, a daughter of Toronado, and has now added a Group 1 triumph to his earlier Group 3 Prix Daphnis victory this season.
