Al Shaqab Racing enjoyed another productive spell with its three-year-olds as LAW COURT and AL GHARIYA both opened their accounts within 72 hours of one another in Britain and France.

The first success came at Wissembourg, where homebred filly AL GHARIYA produced a striking performance to break her maiden over 2,400 metres. Trained by Henri-François Devin and ridden by Christopher Grosbois, the daughter of our resident stallion ZELZAL and AL JASSASIYAH (Galileo) left her previous form behind in emphatic fashion. Raised at Haras de Bouquetot and carrying the Al Shaqab Racing colours, AL GHARIYA quickly asserted her superiority and powered clear in the straight to score by an impressive 15 lengths.

Three days later, LAW COURT followed up with a deserved first victory at Sandown. Trained by Richard Hannon and partnered by Faleh Bughenaim, the son of Blue Point and Naadrah (Muhtathir) had been knocking on the door, having finished runner-up at Newbury on his previous start.

Settled just behind the leaders throughout the mile handicap, LAW COURT made smooth headway entering the final furlong before taking command and pulling clear to score by a length and a half. Bred by Herbertstown House Stud, the colt showed a willing attitude and continued the progression he had displayed since returning to action this spring.

With a homebred daughter of ZELZAL breaking through in dominant style and LAW COURT gaining a deserved first success in Britain, the pair added further momentum to a productive period for Al Shaqab Racing's three-year-old team.
