Yesterday at Saint-Cloud, CHIBITTY produced a fine performance to finish third in the Prix Perth (Gr.3), contested over 1,600 metres.
In a strongly run race led by SPARKS FLY and EXXTRA, the Mikel Delzangles-trained gelding showed patience, travelling in the second half of the field before finishing strongly to snatch third place after a good battle with ELIM.
Ridden by Théo Bachelot, CHIBITTY carried the silks of Mme Philippe Arsac. The three-year-old son of ZELZAL out of AMESA SPENTA (SLICKLYl) was bred by Mme Françoise Perree and Mr Claude Lambert.
This Saturday at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat, LE LEGIONNAIRE, a two-year-old colt by WOODED out of BANMI (KODIAC), recorded the second victory of his young career in the Prix de l’Hippodrome de Mont-de-Marsan, a race for two-year-olds run over 1,600 metres on heavy ground.
Trained by Charles Gourdain and ridden by Clément Lecoeuvre, he carried the colours of Mme Frances Dakers.
Breaking well from the stalls, LE LEGIONNAIRE was quickly settled towards the rear of the field to enjoy a waiting run. Asked for an effort turning for home, he showed maturity, a sharp turn of foot, and plenty of determination to prevail in demanding conditions.
Congratulations to all connections!
