Following the recent black-type performance of ZAMBEZI, five more winners have come to the fore in recent days, putting ZELZAL firmly back in the spotlight. Crowned leading sire of two-year-olds in France in 2025, ZELZAL continues to confirm his status at the start of the new season.

The highlight came on March 21 at La Teste, where Alain Jathière's homebred OBLINSKHA, a two-year-old filly out of Kiwiana (Kodiac), made a highly promising debut when landing the Prix de la Sorec over 1,000 metres. Well regarded by her connections, she scores in one of the first two-year-old races of the year, immediately marking herself as a filly to follow.

On the same card at La Teste, ZELZAL completed a notable double as GOLDEN STATE, out of Abandagold (Orpen) bred by S.C.E.A. des Prairies, T. Jeffroy and B. Jeffroy, scored over 1,900 metres.

Earlier in the week, IRBIS, out of Iceni Girl (Iceman) bred by Ecurie Haras de Beaufay, was successful at Saint-Cloud over 1,500 metres. At Marseille-Borély, TANIS, a five-year-old filly out of Touching The Sky (Rip Van Winkle) bred by Haras Garmar, added another victory over 1,200 metres. Finally, in Spain, GUADALMINA, a three-year-old filly out of Praise Dancing (Trepaan) bred by Randal Enterprises Ltd, completed the sequence with a win over 1,600 metres at La Zarzuela.

Congratulations to all breeders and connections !
