ROMANISED continued his excellent run with juveniles as DALYAN became his seventh individual two-year-old winner from 22 runners to date, a 32% winners-to-runners strike rate with his second crop. This latest success also moves the Haras de Bouquetot resident into second place on the French-based sires’ table for number of 2yo winners, behind only ZELZAL.
DALYAN struck in the Prix Bernard Chabot – Grand Critérium des 2 Ans de Vittel over 1600m on Tuesday. Raced by Denis Cengiz and trained by Henk Grewe, the colt was ridden to victory by Marvin Grandin to get off the mark at the second attempt.
Bred by S.A.S. Haute Vallée and Mme C. Hutchinson, DALYAN is out of Dalakania, a daughter of Dalakhani. Congratulations to his connections!
The next chance to secure the bloodlines of ROMANISED comes at the Arqana V2 Sale in Deauville next Wednesday, August 20, where three of his yearlings will be offered.
