Sahlan impresses on debut at Deauville

SAHLAN, a 2-year-old colt by Wootton Bassett out of Wasmya (Toronado), made a statement in his first outing, winning the Prix de la Pommeraie (1500m) by an easy 4 lengths. Ridden by Mickaël Barzalona and trained by Francis-Henri Graffard, this Al Shaqab Racing homebred confirmed high expectations with a dominant performance on the all-weather track. The colt was raised at Haras de Bouquetot.
