Saint-Cloud double for Zelzal

Yesterday, two progeny of ZELZAL scored at Saint-Cloud, further underlining the excellent current form of his offspring.
In the third race of the card, the Prix As d’Atout, DORZAL, a two-year-old colt by ZELZAL out of DOROTKA (SO LONG SLEW), made a perfect debut, winning impressively by more than five lengths.
The race, restricted to unraced colts, was run over 1,500 metres on very soft ground. Quickly into stride, DORZAL took the lead turning for home and never looked back, maintaining his advantage all the way to the line. He carried the silks of DS Pegas, trained by Dalibor Torok, ridden by Luca Carboni, and bred by Jiri Travnicek.
Later in the day, ZELTURA, a three-year-old filly by ZELZAL out of TUREYTH (STREET CRY), landed the Prix de Rocquencourt. She represented owner Lutz Bongen, trained by Markus Nigge, ridden by Marie Vélon, and bred by Stuart McPhee.
