The first foals by THUNDER MOON, the son of Zoffany standing at Haras de Bouquetot, made an impressive debut at the Arqana Breeding Stock Sale, showcasing their quality and appeal among the first-season sires.
On Sunday, Lot 503, a colt by THUNDER MOON out of Scruples (Pioneerof the Nile), consigned by the Haras d'Etreham, topped the session for first-season sires when sold to MAB Agency for €68,000. This great mover is a half brother to precocious Prix de Condé Gr.3 winner Shiffrin (Olympic Glory).
The momentum continued on Monday, with THUNDER MOON producing the two highest prices of the session for a first season sire. Lot 570, a colt out of Abbronzatissima, presented by Bourgeauville, was purchased by Pegasus Bloodstock for €42,000. Later in the day, Lot 601, a colt out of Bergamot Orange, consigned by Hoguenet, fetched €45,000 in the ring when the hammer came down in favour to Paragon Bloodstock Agency. The last foal by our Gr.1-winning son of Zoffany to go through the ring was not the least, as Lot 765 reached 48 000€ changing hands from Arcadia to Pegasus Bloodstock who thus secured his second THUNDER MOON foal of the day.
